Hey, it truly has been (what the title says…). I’ve been meaning to get off my ass and post some updates but I keep finding ways to not do it. After all, creative people can come up with some very creative excuses.  Bottom line is I’m just really lazy… and now, I’m just lazy enough to NOT come up with another excuse.

Well.. The site just had its first major milestone—first time to be hacked (or in more technical terms, H4xx0r3dz)! (ding!) I’m not sure whether to be pissed or be amused. The site hasn’t been updated since early this year and somebody even bothered to wreck it. It’s been so long that I had problems remembering my admin password a month ago!

Good thing Kat, aka donya longganisa, still looks at this page once in a while. Otherwise, It’ll take me a couple of months to find out that my site has been housing funky middle eastern graphics. Thanks Kat! and thanks to the DreamCodeDesign team for their world class support.

Now that the site’s up and running, I can now go back to my semi-annual update schedule.

Finished at 1:03:47; 439th place out of 2110 other 10k runners. Not bad for my first time, not bad at all.

The race was great. There were lots of people but the water stations were enough to support the crowd. The addition of sponges and sprinklers was a welcome surprise. For me the best part of the 10k race was running along the Kalayaan to Buendia flyover at around 5:40am. It was so dark I can’t even see the road that I’m on. I just used the silhouettes of other runners in front of me as guides.

And there was ton of freebies after the race! Free Vitwater, 100 Plus, Herbalife samples, Coors Beer, Men’s/Women’s health magazines… I’m can’t remember all of the booths but the best one was definitely the free Selecta popsicles. Woot!! Oh, and I also got a 10k finisher’s medal (which I wore until I got home).

Now that that’s  done, my next goal is to get a sub-1:00:00 race. Hopefully I hit my target within the next two races.

BTW. Congrats to all the dolphins that got a hefty 400 thousand check because of this race.

Seven 5K runs down. Ready for 10k in Condura. See you in a few a hours. “This is it. Don’t get scared now.”

LOL–Since I used washable markers, this’ll probably bleed after a few minutes of running.
